This flagship building, the campus’s most complex project to date, clearly announces the prominence of science and technology within the institution’s liberal arts curriculum. Its glass atria, featuring the first academic living rooms on campus, attract students from two major quadrangles. Chemistry, biology, physics, and environmental science laboratories are concentrated in the flexible space at the heart of the building, allowing faculty offices and classrooms to open onto the light-filled atria.
