EYP Architecture & Engineering is pleased to announce a 40% expansion of its nationally recognized EYP/energy group with the additions of Richard Stephens, P.E., Christopher Stephens, Mark Hahn, and Joseph Rogowicz. EYP Director of Energy Services Robert Kennedy, P.E., CEM, commented, "The strategic addition of these four individuals provides the EYP/energy group the additional internal capability to perform engineering design for energy retrofit projects and affords us a greater level of confidence to pursue design and design/build oriented work. Their particular expertise of fast-track integrated design for limited scale projects will significantly supplement our energy-related offerings from initial analysis through design and construction. We are thrilled to welcome them to our team."
Senior Engineer Richard Stephens possesses more than 44 years of engineering experience, with specialized expertise in designing mechanical systems for commercial and industrial projects. A Managing Principal at EYP during the 1980s, he most recently served as Owner in Charge and Principal of Richard R. Stephens, Consulting Engineer (a consultant to EYP Energy). A licensed professional engineer in NY and VT, Stephens is an affiliate member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE).
A Senior Mechanical Engineer, Christopher Stephens possesses vast expertise in the engineering design of plumbing, heating, and electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities, including field investigation, project coordination, and construction administration. He is an active member of ASHRAE and the ASPE. Stephens received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, with a minor in mathematics, from Western New England College.
With more than 17 years of experience in trouble shooting and repairing mainframe computers, Hahn joins the firm as an Engineering Designer. His expertise also includes working as a CAD mechanical designer and working with mechanical engineering teams on the design of HVAC systems for commercial and industrial buildings. A graduate of the Masters Institute (drafting and design presentations) he is a former computer systems engineer for the U.S. Air Force.
Rogowicz joins EYP as an Engineering Intern. His experience includes the design of plumbing and HVAC systems for sanitary, vent, gas piping, domestic water piping, and hot water generation systems for commercial and institutional facilities. A graduate of Clarkson University with a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, he is a member of ASHRAE and the ASPE.
