EYP names Morgan technical director

EYP Architecture & Engineering announced the appointment of Craig Morgan, RA, LEED AP, to technical director in the firm's Washington, DC office. His responsibilities include life safety and code compliance, quality assurance, leading the architectural and engineering teams from design development through construction documents and final construction, and ensuring that all projects, initiatives, and processes conform to EYP's policies and objectives.

Prior to joining EYP, Morgan served as Associate/Technical Director, Senior Project Architect at Gensler, a global architecture firm based in Washington, DC. His 29 years of architectural expertise also includes working in the Washington, DC offices of Hellmuth, Obata, and Kassabaum PC, and Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. Additionally, Morgan possesses experience in archaeological work, previously serving as part of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Museums and Antiquities (1980) and Stobi Excavation (1978-79) projects.

Morgan earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from Cornell University's College of Architecture. A member of the United States Green Building Council, the Council for Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat, the Building Enclosure Technology & Environment Council, and Discover Graphics Atelier, as well as a registered architect and a LEED Accredited Professional, he was involved in the AIA Excellence award-winning Pentagon Reconstruction/Phoenix Project from 2001-2002.
