EYP was retained by Wellesley College to create a distinctive identity for the Newhouse Center for the Humanities on the main floor of Green Hall, an historic 1928 Collegiate Gothic structure at the heart of the Wellesley campus. The project design, entailing approximately 6,000 square feet of renovation, included the removal of an unsympathetic infill, the linking of interior spaces and the careful interweaving of historic and contemporary elements to enhance the experience of the both the original architecture and new interventions. MEP upgrades, including the installation of a radiant panel cooling system, were integral components of the design.
