This high-visibility renovation project updated the historic campus’s original entry portal, a 75,000-square-foot structure designed by Cope and Stewardson Architects. We remodeled all existing student rooms and communal areas, creating additional lounges, bathrooms, and living spaces from found space in the basement and attic. The scope of work included complete mechanical, electrical, and data systems upgrades, as well as the exterior restoration/repair of historic masonry, windows, and roofs. This is the prototype project for Princeton’s 30-year master plan to renovate and restore 30 historic residence halls.
