The Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration commissioned a campus master plan update in 1996. The primary goals of the study were to address the institution's 21st century program needs while preserving the strong initial, axial character of the original McKim, Mead, and White plan. This was addressed by proposals for carefully siting new buildings in the historic core, developing recommendations for building maintenance and stewardship, and extending the core campus' Olmsted landscape.
EYP was commissioned to design the new Hawes Hall Distance Learning and Classroom building. The new construction was located to form the third side of a campus quad with Aldrich Hall and Baker Library. The Hawes design replicates the existing Georgian Revival style of the campus to enhance the institution's unique sense of place.
EYP's Senior Master Planner, Charles Craig, completed projects denoted by an astersik (*) while a principal with Dober Lidsky Craig and Associates, Inc.
