The Cabrini College 2002 campus plan focuses on enhancing a collegiate environment for this relatively young college. Despite a generous property holding, the campus land readily available for development is limited by challenging topography and woodland landscapes. Extended master planning studies prepared a framework of sites for new construction and strategies for the effective reuse of space to respond to the college's evolving curricular and residential requirements.
The transformation of the campus was advanced by EYP's design for the new Science Education and Technology Building. Analysis demonstrated how realignment of the SET site within the framework of the master plan could reshape campus land use patterns. The Science Education and Technology Building forms one side of a central green space, thus fostering a collegiate setting and enhancing the college's distinctive sense of place.
