St. Clement’s Hall: North Wing IT Data Center Renovation
The renovation of St. Clement’s Hall consisted of 60,000 square feet of renovated space to house the college’s Information Technology Department, including administrative offices, staff workrooms, and a 4,000 square foot data center and associated command center. BC IT staff oversees all campus information systems from this central location. Housed in a former seminary, the project is unique in that the data center and command center are located in the two-story volume of what was the seminary’s chapel. The command center overlooks both state-of-the-art information processing equipment and original stained glass windows. A 24" raised floor system accommodates both air supply and data cabling for the data center. Different color raised floor tiles delineate the cable pathways, and clear plexiglass tiles reveal the quantity of cabling at major pathway intersections.
