EYP developed a four-phase master plan to expand both research and research animal facility spaces, designing renovations and new additions for this global leader in genetics research. The new East Research Building contains flexible space for eight research groups and houses the Bioinformatics Commons, a multipurpose gathering space with dedicated and shared computers for research. The renovation and expansion of the Functional Genomics Building increases the facility's capacity to support cutting-edge research. The new Genetics Research Building, a transgenic mouse facility, expands the Laboratory's ability to acquire, develop, and distribute important new models of human disease.
