A complement of energy and LEED consulting services helped Barton International exceed its sustainability goals while contributing to a better environment both indoors and out. We used energy modeling to strategize energy conservation measures; helped secure financial incentives through NYSERDA; and managed the LEED certification process to ensure achieving fullest LEED potential. Reusing 97 percent of the existing building structure and shell plus recycling 50 percent of construction waste conserved materials. Local, recycled, and environmentally responsible building materials were used wherever possible. The facility also includes a number of special features, resulting in a domino effect of energy and cost savings.
